Aren't they Beautiful?

I have a TON of blogging to catch up on but I just had to put up this one. I canned some pears yesterday for the first time in my life. It wasn't too bad. (The jars in the back are raspberry jam.) Eventually I want to have a nice supply of canned goods. I just love the idea of just going to the pantry and finding yummy fruit. I think I might also try meats as well but that might be a next year thing. I need a pressure cooker for that.

I even had helpers. Well, for about 5 minutes. Makaylin decided she would rather play with Ethan. Jacob cut his finger on potato peeler. It was nice while it lasted.
