I've actually been meaning to write about this for awhile now and just haven't. Anyway, a couple weeks ago we decided it was time to help the boys use better manners. We were trying to get them to say, "May I have....more milk please" for example instead of "can I" or "more milk". The boys were having a hard time with this at first and couldn't seem to drop the "can". They kept saying "May, can I have more milk please?" Jacob has dropped the "can" but Ethan just can't seem to say it with out the "can" in there. It's pretty funny.
The kids have been gone the past week and just came home yesterday. It's amazing how messy the house got in just a matter of minutes. It's nice to have them home, though.
I think they had lots of fun at grandma and papa's house!

Makaylin got to try out this fun thing while the boys were gone. It's definitely something that we will only use when the boys aren't around. I can just see them trying to swing on it with her in there. She seems to like it!

We also took Makaylin in to do pictures. My mom took the boys in while she had them. If you want to see them, you can email me and I will give you the info to look at them. This was the dress that we put her in. I must say, girls are a bit more fun to do pictures with.

This Week's Events

We took another one of our trips to the Zoo on cheap Tuesday. It was an amazingly nice day for February. I was a bit worried because the weather said that it was supposed to rain on Tuesday. It was a fun day had by all.

Jacob had a Valentines Day party at preschool on Thursday. The kids exchanged valentines and had some really yummy snacks. This dessert pizza was not only lovely to look at but very delicious.

I was a bit surprised to find these little beauties this week. She's been a little crabby but nothing too terrible. This was the best picture I could get. You can't see them that well but they're there!

I kinda thought the "I want to do it myself stage started around 2-years. Does this stage happen earlier in girls?

Here's a bit of video overload for those of you who are board, can't get enough of us or are the grandmother of these cute kids.

Jacob did the Family Home Evening lesson this week (we always do ours on Sunday). This was his first power point presentation. I think that we shall use this idea more often when it's his turn to teach. You really can't hear him that well. He's talking about Valentine's Day and how we should remember to love everyone. He then shows us pictures of things that we should love. I helped him think of a few of them and he thought of the rest. These are the notes that he is looking at:
He did all the circles, Anthony did the numbers.

This is Makaylin's first time eating something besides just cereal. I started her out on beans and I'm not so sure she's crazy about them, although she does keep eating them.

This is Makaylin again. She was looking at herself in this mirror and just cracking up laughing. Of course the minute the camera comes out she doesn't do it as much.

Makaylin's Frist Bites

I always think it's so fun to watch the reaction to that first bite of baby food. I was actually smart enough to have the camera ready this time!
I took the sound out so you wont hear anything. It's a bit long, I really edited a lot of it (it was much longer). If you get board with it, go to the end, it's my favorite part (when she finally gets the spoon)!

This is a couple days after the first bite. She's doing pretty good. I don't even have to hold her hands down!
