Painting Pumpkins

Since we've been to the pumpkin patch a couple times, (Ok, three times; we went with some friends but I forgot my camera) we have lots of pumpkins. I thought it might be fun to just paint the little ones. I think the kids thought so too.

Just in case you were wondering, the stem doesn't look like it tastes very good.

Feeding the Goats

Lone Pine had a bunch of goats that you could feed. Ali's kids really liked it. They would give the goats the food one by one. It took Jacob a little while to warm up to them.


Here you can see him actually throwing the food. I think that would have been ok if they were ducks. The goats didn't seem to impressed however and weren't real excited about running after it.

He finally did warm up to them, when we were all out of food and quarters. (They had the food in little candy dispensing machines.

The Pumpkin Patch with Cousins

Anthony's sister and her kids came for a fun weekend. We went to some more pumpkin patches. We went to two different ones and they were a bit more fun then the other one we went to. These pictures were out at Lone Pine.

I think the other one we went to had hay rides as well but they only had them on weekends. Lone Pine has hay rides all the time!! It was probably the high light for Jacob.

Picking Apples

After we went to the pumpkin patch we went out to the farm with Grandma and Papa. Ethan was sound asleep in the car at this point. We picked lots of apples!

I think Jacob ate more apples than he picked!
We also picked a few tomatoes.

My parents came down for the day, so we went to a pumpkin patch. There are really quite a few around here. It was pretty cold and rainy and there wasn't to much going on when we were there. They do most of their stuff on the weekends. We still had fun though. I couldn't decide on which pictures to show so I had to do a slide show.

This was during the 4th of July as well. Jacob was trying to play fetch with Anthony's parents dog. I love how he gets so mad at her. It's a bit long. I didn't feel like editing it.

4th of July?

I know it's October but better late than never, right? Anthony's sister sent some pictures and I really have to post them. I suppose I should also say that every 4th of July Anthony's family has a family reunion (on his dad's side) in Washington on his grandma's farm. Everyone brings their tents, swimsuits (she lives on a lake) and lots of food. The drive is a bit long but it's tons of fun.

This isn't at the farm but I had to put it in anyway.

Eating Lunch with Daddy

It's so nice to be so close to the University where Anthony is going to school. We have a bike trailer and the kids and I like to ride over to the school and eat lunch with Anthony. It's only about a 20 minute ride but it's just enough to get some exercise in and the scenery is just gorgeous. I really enjoy it, in fact, we've talked about getting a rain suit for me so that we can go when it starts raining everyday. We wouldn't go went it was pouring. A lot of the time it just kind of sprinkles. The bike trailer has a really nice cover so the kids wouldn't even get wet. Anyway, one day while we were eating, someone wanted some pictures of people eating out on the lawn (it's intended use). Since no one ever uses it to eat on, she was going to post them for people to see. I told her that she could take pictures if she sent them to me. My mom is always asking for pictures, plus, it gives me something to blog about!
